A day before my service I told vw to bolt up my front undercover with original bolts cause it was previously put back with cable ties, on the day of service my car went in @ 7:30am, they had told me my vehicle would be ready @ 4:00pm, I arrived there @ 3:30pm to find out they have not yet started on my vehicle. I got handed back my vehicle @ 5pm, I was also told that they could not get the original bolts so they replaced all cable ties with normal self tap screws (no bolts with nuts) only thread holding covers. The following night I drove on the freeway when I felt my vehicle drifting off the road doing 120kmph, fortunately for me there was no mountain pass or oncoming car. I stopped to find out that the mechanic had put the front cover 1st then my back cover causing wind resistance and drag and eventually ripsed the back cover off. I have also found an additional bolt hand tight with abt 5 threads showing which hold my front bumper, this was found under the bonnet. I took this up with vw and their respons was that I have to pay for new covers and they will install it for free. As a valued costumer I refuse to have any more work done on my vhicle by vw as it may be life threatning.
