In October 2012 my son purchased a Ford Ranger. During the purchase negotiations he was advised that the vehicle needed its next service due. This was to be cambelt, tensioners, v-belts filters etc. When he took the vehicle for this service it was discovered that the fuel injectors were completely worn and had been tampered with, the clutch was saturated in oil caused by the rear main oil seal and had to be replaced as well as the turbo needing a complete rebuild. When contacting the dealership aboutt this, we asked them to pay for the additional problems and repairs to the vehicle other than the initial service costs, my son was treated in a hostile manner and and Mr Marais was incredibly rude and refused to help in any way in this mater.
I strongly feel that this is not the way to treat customers who purchase vehicles. When a problem is discussed and the process forward is agreed upon, surely its your duty as a dealer to make sure the vehicle is in he condition worthy of the price of the purchase.
