I purchased a 2011 Kia Picanto Auto from McCarthy Nissan Woodmead with 3, 400kms on 18-Dec-12 and paid in full plus an additional R4000 for PDI, license, and registration. The car is still not registered a month later. Documents are still outstanding with no feedback. The car licence has has expired 4 months ago in Sep-12. The temp registration that I had to make an addidtional trip back to collect has also expired on 9-Jan-13, and my mum whom I bought the car as a gift for is left with a headache of trying to sort this out along with me.
The dealership was suppose to pay for and arrange the registration and new number plates. Then they asked me to do it and they will reimburse the cost. Then gave me incomplete documents so my mum wasted a day trying to register with them. Then they were to send the documents overnight but 5 days later, they had not arrived and another day wasted to collect and register. Then they ignore us instead of doing what they were paid for and my mum has to run the risk of getting a ticket for driving an unlicensed car.
It is so frustrating to have what should be a good experience turn into such a headache.
