I booked and made a partial payment online for a vehicle type that initially was unavailable at my point of collection. The website gave no indication of this and only by me phoning to query an insurance item on the quote did I find this out. The OR Tambo staff were not helpfull in sorting this out and only made me more annoyed. The head office staff however were much better and sorted the issue out.
The vehicle itself was of good standard except for the smashed tail lights and difficult to open canopy (Bakkie) The location of collection was also poorly lit which made a pre collection inspection difficult.
There were no issues with the physical return of the vehicle.
I thought the return of my deposit was quite slow (Approx 5 working days) and I was incorrectly charged an extra day for insurance. I was not informed of this at the time of return nor did I receive any other notification. I only found this out when I queried the return date of my deposit with the Durban office. This however should be re imbursed in the next few days.
