Excellent after-sales Service

I bought a second-hand Land Rover Discovery from Grand Central Motors (Merc/Jeep agents) in Midrand in April 2013. The car had only 80 000km on the clock, and since the service book was stamped for all services, I assumed the maintenance plan was still in place. After taking delivery, I took the car to Land Rover to attend to a few things, most notably the wipers not working. Great was my shock when LR told me the Maintenance plan was cancelled by LR because the previous owner did NOT take it in every 6 months (prescribed service intervals). I immediately contacted Grand Central Motors, and I was really impressed with their attitude. They assured me they would assist me, then suggested I write a letter to LRSA, asking for the maintenace plan to be re-instated. LRSA agreed, BUT with condition that I take the car to a dealer for a full check-up (R2000) and that I fix all the items that are highlighted in this test. The test indicated work to the value of R9 500. I send the details to Grand Central motors, and they agreed to pay for the test as well as the full amount to have the items fixed in order for the maintenance plan to be re-instated. Hats off to you, I salute your ethics!
