Nissan South Africa
Nissan airbag warning light

Nissan Qashqai 2012 bought by Nissan Middelburg. The 3 April the car went in for a warning light indicating a problem with the airbag, 9th & 23rd for the same error. On the 23rd a new part had to be fitted which is unavailable in SA, apparently the part will arrive on the 2013-05-07 & thus leaving me on foot until then. I do a lot of travelling; I have had to borrow a car to continue service delivery to customers. Nissan has failed to render assistance in providing at the very least a courtesy vehicle. I complained to Nissan SA Head Office. No feedback/ref. no. received via email only via telephone. Had to phone for ref. no. They informed me that Nissan Middelburg had no courtesy vehicle. I am lead to believe that the Nissan dealership is under no obligation to provide a courtesy car; this in my opinion is bad service delivery especially as a technical error occurred & you would not expect this type of error in a newly purchased car which has 45000km on the clock. On the 3 April both front passing beams had fused simultaneously at a cost of -R750. Can this be traced back to the computer error? I regret having bought the Nissan, what is going to happen before 100000km?
