Competition is tough - but poor service prevails

On Saturday 20 April we visited the John Dory's in Potchefstroom. Myself and 3 family members were greeted by a waiter by the name of Hector. Just before we were seated we told him that we would only have something to drink as we were on our way to another function in about an hours time. The thought of 4 customers only having drinks was obviously not of much importance to Hector as he abruptly left without even asking what we would like. Well we were left outside for approximately half an hour before I had to go an call another waiter to get some service as Hector was nowhere to be found. Another waiter by the name of Ben came to our rescue and gave us such good service that we ended up ordering meals as well. Thank you Ben for the excellent service you gave us after we almost got up and left. During our visit another couple entered and sat close by - Hector decided that since this couple wanted to eat as well that this "bill" was of more importance to him. Hector, it doesn't matter how large or small a bill may seem, each and every customer that walk through your door deserve the same excellent quality service. Don't leave customers unattended, wasn't that part of your training?
