Waiter threw my food away

We visited John Dory at the golden horse branch on the 16.11.13.I ordered the 10 jd prawns, however, after we completed the starterand sushi I Had no appetite to eat the main. I ate 2 prawns and thereafter told the waiter to put it in a take away container. We thereafter went to the cashier to pay and asked for our take home bag and he says he is so sorry he threw it away he did not heard what we had said. How can you not listen to what the customer wants and just throw away what we paid for? the manager was not around some just left.
