It seems to be a common thing in South Africa and I hate it. Every time you purchase a fast food order you seem to be obliged to have to check that what you have paid for is in the bag. It's terrible for a number of reasons.
1. I don't like to have to put the server in a position where I am questioning their job competence.
2. I end up looking like a pedantic fool.
3. Around 50% of the time (in my own experience) there is actually something wrong with the order.
I'm not fussy, I stick to the menu with no additions or subtractions. I order using the exact wording as is stated on the menus, in a clear and well spoken English accent. So I ask you, how does this keep happening?
I wasn't even going to bother with this complaint but I'm bored with little else to do at the moment (Ahhh 1st world problems), this weekend myself and a friend purchased a very simple order of 2 burgers, 1 medium chips and a coke. Guess what, I got home opened the packed and was taken to task within seconds by this friend as to why I didn't check the order... they forgot the coke.
So I'm now making my problem yours.
