Incompetent staff handling customer bookings

On the 26th of March I called the restaurant to make a booking for the 28th. Natasha informed me there were tables available and took my details down as confirmation of booking. It was my intention to take my parents out for supper as a surprise for their anniversary. On the 28th, we arrive at the restaurant and to my horror, my booking was not on the booking register. A lady at the door informed me to sit at the bar with my family as the restaurant was full and only if there was a cancellation would I be attended to. She was not apologetic, and casually said "the lady who takes the bookings does this often". If this is a regular occurrence, why is she not trained to enable her to perform her duties. Why have an incompetent person handling CUSTOMER BOOKINGS!! It was late and rather embarrassing for me. I took my family to a nearby alternate restaurant. The next day, I called the manager, Tony who informed me he will investigate the matter and call me back by Tuesday (2nd April). Tony also seemed unconcerned of my experience and I suppose that's why it is now the 3rd of April and I have not received a call back. I also noticed the website does not have any option for customer reviews or complaints.
