Doesn't allow takeaways during holidays

So i go in over the weekend to get some takeaway as there was a line out the door just to sit down. i didn't want to have to wait to eat so i figured take away would be quicker. get advise by the manager that they don't do takeaways in the holiday season?

why not? surely you hire additional stuff to handle the influx of visitors.

at this rate, the locals will remember you and will let you go out of business in the off season.
