Unpleasant experience

Good day,

Whilst waiting for a show at the palace on Friday night, I decided to eat at your restaurant along with some friends. All was well until it came to our dessert. We ordered a pavlova and a flamb? cherry dessert. 20 minutes after the pavlova arrived we were still waiting for the cherries. I then went to complain to our waiter, who was clearly under stress and the floor manager came to our table.By this time, I show was going to start in 15 minutes. She said that the waiter was not coping and that she had already had to help him out. She then told us that she would prepare the dessert. We waited.
Finally she brought it, ready to be prepared at our table, and put the goods in the tale next to ours, and we waited. Eventually we told her that we had to leave and we want to cancel the dessert order. She then removed it from the bill and gave us discount.at first, we thought that was great, we still left the waiter a tip. Upon leaving it was overheard that she said the waiter must pay back the discount. That's shocking, the floor manager should make sure that things run smoothly, assist where needed. It was her prerogative to give discount and I do hope he did get his tip.
