With reference to the other Ocean Basket complaints on Hello Peter, I went to Ocean Basket in Tyger Valley on Wednesday evening for a meal with my girlfriend.
The place was not busy, but not one waiter from all those standing around chatting offered me a table, introduced themselves or brought menus.
Eventually a very sullen waiter came over, still no smile or introduction gave us menus and took our order - attitude of doing us a huge favour.
My fish was cold and the butternut and spinach side dishes were also cold and both tasted sour (?)
Complained to waiter, real attitude, said he would call the manager - I'm still waiting for the manager (a youngster walking around doing absolutely nothing) to come and discuss the matter with me.
Eventually paid the bill (which included the cost of the butternut and spinach) and left - very disgusted.
If Ocean Basket doesn't care, neither do I.
They will not see me again!
So, it's not only Ocean Basket in the V&A, it seems to be a common Ocean Basket problem - excuse the pun, but the saying goes "a fish stinks from the head down"...
