My partner & I went to vintage india on the 09/03/2013. When we got there we had a look at the menu & were abit unsure of what ingredients some of the meals had as we are strictly vegetarian so we wanted to make sure there was no meat in what we'd liked to eat. So we asked the waiter (an older indian guy) to explain to us what came in some of the meals, he was down right rude, unhelpful & was giving us attitude at which point we asked another waiter for his help (who was helpful). The service by our waiter was extremely slow & we had to wait long periods before getting his attention & before getting served. We then decided he was not worth tipping paid our bill & was about to leave when our waiter stopped us stood in front of us worked out his 10% tip & demanded we pay him. When we asked to see the manager as its not mandatory to pay a 10% tip unless otherwise stated on the bill, he told us the manager was unavailable & we had to pay even though it was NOT stated in the bill that a service fee was charged to all patrons. The waiter was unethical & arrogant & I will never support vintage India again & will make sure my family & friends don't either!!!
