On 9 March, my kids and I went to John Dory at Canal Walk... and were subject to terrible and slow service from the waitress. Not only was the service bad, but she managed to get our orders wrong TWICE. Firstly, I received COLD coffee... then when my main course finally arrived, it wasn't what I had ordered. When she finally brought me what I had ordered, the food was TASTELESS and disappointing.
My daughter's food... was just as bad... in fact, I would go so far as to say that it was probably the worst pizza that we had tasted.
My son had ordered chicken strips and chips... but instead was given a chicken strips MIXED with calamari... which is not what he wanted!
My family and I dine out once/twice a week, and had recently joined the John Dory Membership Club... especially because my kids like the play area... but after this experience, we all agree that whilst the play area is nice... we just aren't willing accept tasteless food and/or terrible service.
On our previous visits to John Dory, the food hasn't been bad... so I have to wonder... is the quality on the decline... or is "inconsistency" the excuse?
So I guess we shall be moving onto another restaurant. John Dory... Disappointing
