I was in Potchefstroom on Friday the 1st of February 2013, whereby I purchased a fully loaded box meal at Grimbeek Park KFC which cost R57.90, but now because there was no electricity they told me that they cannot give me a cold drink with my meal because of the machine that needs electricity to dispense the cold drink and they told me I had to pay for a 500ml cold drink separately. My concern was and still is why should I pay for something which I have already paid for? The Loaded box meal comes with a cold drink, a burger, a drum stick, mash potato and potato chips; this is what makes a loaded box meal. Telling me that I have to pay R7.00 extra then you are exploiting me. I spoke to the manager about this and she said I should take what they are offering me or she can refund me so that I can go somewhere else. I feel cheated, because of the whole experience and I thought to myself maybe that is how people are in Potchefstroom coming from Pretoria, but then again it happened at KFC. My question is why should I pay R64.90 for meal that cost R57.90? Is it my fault that the machine needs electricity? Why should I pay for that? Why should I even continue buying at KFC?
