On Sunday evening (the 3rd), I went to Nandos Blackheath to order a take away. Upon arrival I noticed that the door was closed and locked, the time was 19:55, the sign on the door said their closing time on a Sunday was 20:00.
After knocking on the door and being stared at by everyone (staff and customers), someone came to open the door, when asked why they were closed before their closing time, I was told "it is so windy".
During this time two (separate) gentlemen arrived and said they had been trying to phone and place an order since just after 19:00 and that the phone was engaged, when this was queried with the staff, the response was "the manager (who has already left) told us to take the phone off the hook".
With the prices that Nandos charges for the generally mediocre food, you would definitely expect better customer service as well as the restaurant to be opened according to their opening and closing times!
