I went on holiday (from JHB) to Cape Town with mates this December and this Golden Spur was conveniently a minute walk away from our place. It's one which we used frequently until this incident. I ordered the combo (which includes chicken quarter, lamb chops, ribs and wors). The meal took a bit long which I didn't kind at all, however when it came almost everything was burnt. I decided to not make a fuss until I saw the severity of the chops. I asked the waiter (Daff) to change it for me as it was really burned. He acknowledged that it was burned and agreed to change it. This was the only thing I requested to be changed even though everything was burned. When it came back I realized that it was not changed but rather scrapped off and then sauced up so that it looks like it was changed. I confronted the waiter about it who said it was changed which was clearly a lie. This is what irritated me more as it was cleared evident that the meat was scrapped off and sauce put on it. Deciding not to cause scene I simply paid for my meal I left the store. I hope this now gets addressed as customers can't be taken for granted. This was highly unacceptable.
