I am from the band The Rites. We were invited by Vic the owner of The Red Disa, to come to the restaurant today because he wanted to have a discussion with us about playing there. Alistair Ormerod and I drove from Somerset West to Betty's Bay for this meeting, and he was not there. We were told by the staff that he would be back soon. We decided to order a breakfast. While we were busy having our breakfast, Vic walked in. Acknowledging that we were there with no greetings or apologies, he walked right past us into the office, and never came back. After finishing our breakfast, we decided to have a stroll in the botanical gardens. On our return, we inquired about him and our meeting, and we were told by one of the members of staff that he was in a meeting and not available.
This trip to Betty's Bay cost Alistair and I R160 for petrol, R180 for the breakfast, and about R2000 for taking time off from work.
I think it is only fair to send them a bill. Opinions please.
