Popped in at the Umhlanga branch which opened in November 2013, being regular Adela customers in JHB we enjoy the food. On looking at the menu we noticed the menus had different pricing on my wife's and mine. Both menus had identical covers and were version 4 but the pricing was different and by as much as 20 percent plus for the prawns. On enquiry we were told the cheaper pricing was the old menu which had been replaced 2 weeks ago.
Sounds like gouging yr loyal clients and we insisted on paying the lower price however when question our waitress said she would have to pay the shortfall so we paid the higher price... the last time we go to ADEGA, bumping up prices for the holiday crowd is unethical in my books and forcing yr staff to pay the shortfall is illegal.
