We went to Highveld Mall Ocean Basket on Sunday the 8th of December to have some lunch. We got there, order starters as well as main meals. More than half an hour later we received our starters, the Managers excuse was that the snails was burned and that is why we had to wait as he could not sent it out like that. The starters was other than that very tasty. Then, we waited another 40min for our main meals, after placing the order with the starters order. I ordered a large hake with stir-fry and extra pumpkin and spinach on the side. I am so glad that I did order the other vegetables, otherwise I would not have anything to eat. The hake was terrible, it was dried out and had no flavour at all, the stir-fry was mushy, and I was also not impressed with that. I do understand that it is peak season, but this food is costly, and it is expensive to go out for lunch or supper. I love ocean basket but this left a bad taste in my mouth. The waiting time for meals was very long, the food wasn't up to standard, if we cant go to have a meal at Ocean basket whereto should we go?!!
