I always thought Mugg and Bean was meant to have great food and great service. Sadly not the case at Canal Walk. Yesterday, I cut into the melted cheese on top of the Rise and Shine Croissant and a black hair sprung up. When I called the Manageress over there was never an apology instead her first words were "It isn't one of ours". Then she took the plate, walked over to my friend and said "Dearie this must be one of your hairs", just because my friend had dark hair. How dare the manageress say something like that to a client and even if she did think that she shouldn't have voiced it out loud. She did replace my meal but quite begrudgingly as though the whole thing was my fault.
Also the waiters need to be trained in better service. One of our party dropped her knife on the floor, I asked our waiter for another one but as he took his time returning I had to ask someone else for one. Also one of our party had hot milk with her coffee however when she had a 2nd cup of coffee the milk was not replaced with more hot milk. I also asked for more hot water for my tea which took forever to arrive.
I won't be returning to Mugg and Bean Canal Walk as the food wasn't great either.
