We hosted a tournament at the Randburg harriers and diggers rugby club. We were required to use Bentleys as the caterers if we did not want to incur further fees for the use of their facilities. Of the three meals we paid for, only one was what was agreed upon and was on time such that all of the people being catered for, received food. The other two were several hours late, incorrect and as a result, some people could not eat their meals at odd times (conflicting travel arrangements) and the vegetarians were forgotten.
After receiving a weekend of bad service and disorganisation, we asked for a discount on the balance of payment. I expected a polite but firm reply to say that, they would prefer full payment and would ensure that nothing of the sort would happen again. But instead I received countless threatening phones calls and rude emails that denied any default on service and demanded payment that would be fetched my office immediately.
My club's reputation has been damaged as a result of the poor service at Bentleys and my efforts in seeking some recourse left me feeling abused.
DO NOT TRUST THIS SUPPLIER.
