On numerous occations my family and I frequent the John Dory's in Walmer Park, and as my husband has quite a sweet tooth always insists on having dessert and his all time favourite is ice cream with Bar One sauce. The first time he had it at John Dory's we complained about the ice cream as it seamed to be pure frozen milk. It was dreadful. The manager informed us that this was the same ice cream supplied to the spur restaurants, but we told him to dream on and make a visit to his nearest spur and compare and there was not comparison. The ice cream at spur is real, but the muck being served as ice cream at John Dory's is pure frozen milk. Of course thinking this was a once off, we again, at the next vist orded the same dessert, but to our horror tha same mucky ice cream was served. We told them not to blame on spur, but to get their act together as they are charging an arm and a leg for ice creams but serving muck. The ice cream at spur is delicious and creamy and not just forzen milk. And since then every time we vist the John Dory's we get served the same frozen milk being charged at R30.00 a shot. Please get your ice cream act together. Get your act together.
