On 30 Sep 2013 I telephoned Romans Pizza to place an order to pick up on my way home that afternoon. On my arrival at Roman Pizza I realised after paying that I was given thin base pizzas instead of thick base. The cashier told me that they didn't/ couldn't make thick base pizzas that day. I told her I wasn't given that info when I placed my order, thus not given an option to choose.
I demanded to speak to the manager so I could have my money back.
After waiting for a while Renate Kruger (the manager) came to hear me out. I asked for my money back so I could place an order to another Roman Pizza closest to my home. She then made me an offer I couldn't walk away from. She said as one of their regular client, she wished to keep my business. As a result, she offered to make me thick base pizza as per my order and to give me some of the already prepared thin base pizzas for free. All she asked for in return was that I waited a bit longer for the thick base pizzas to be prepared. I was, still am blown away by her generosity, great customer service and great attitude when I wasn't particularly pleasant at the time. Thank you Renate. Big ups to you guys!
