Shocking response to customers reasonable request

On Saturday 31.08.13 my mother and I walked passed Burger King in Tygervalley, there was no que so we thought we would give it a try. We ordered and then waited for our number to be called. 30 min later and having received no explanation for the delay from a very stressed, sweaty over weight dark haired male manager, we overheard a customer complaining about an hours wait. We thought, very reasonably, that another 10 minutes won't harm us and we had waited that long. After 45min waiting and noticing 4 people who had arrived after us receive their food before us we called the manager and told him that we had 233 and they had called out 234-238 and missed 233 and it had been 45min. His response was "the numbers mean nothing" and I said "but those people came in after us" he then put his finger to my face and said "Excuse me let me finish talking" my mom was shocked at this attitude and said "just cancel the sale and refund my money", even more shocking was his response "Ok fine give me your till slip" he then went to the till did a refund and handed us our R100 back. No apology, explanation or even an attempt to save the sale was offered after seeing us wait 45 min. We won't be back.
