Manager has no clue about customer service!

We frequent Jimmy's so decided to go for lunch there on Sat (24 Aug). The waiter was awesome! Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the manager. Firstly - a special was suggested to us by the waiter. We opted for it, then he came back to say the manager said the special is not valid anymore, making his staff look stupid for suggesting it. We ordered something else, & prawns for our 3 yr old. After one bite, she spat the prawn out saying it tastes disgusting. My husband then took a bite of the prawn & was shocked at how salty it was! It tasted as if a whole pot of salt was poured over it. We called the manager & without saying a word he removed the plate. Then we asked the waiter if he could please remove it from the total of the bill, since my daughter did not eat any of it. He came back saying the manager said NO but we can have a new plate. As we were already on our way out we asked once more to be refunded, & our 3 yr old would not even try to eat more since she was put off. A child is just like that. The manager was adamant that he would not refund R40. And there wasnt even an apology for the bad food. He now lost customers who spend R500 per meal, for refusing a measly R40!
