Unfortunately on Saturday afternoon at around 3PM my Fiance' and I went to Dros at Gateway for a late lunch.
Ordered drinks then our meals, a bacon and cheese burger for me (medium rare) and a cheesy melt burger (medium) for my fiance'.
This is when it went down hill. After waiting almost 30 minutes for our food, "our meals" arrived. We got 2 standard burgers, which was not our order. Our waiter promptly returned it to the kitchen where it sat on the pass waiting for the missing components. Another 15 minutes later and we got our correct order. Sadly it was the same plates we originally given, which meant our chips and onion rings were just sitting getting cold, which they were. Then I took a bite or 2 of the burger and the patties were well done on both burgers. That was it for me, after 45 mins of waiting I expected a fantastic burger.
Spoke to the manager who kindly offered to make us burgers free of charge with her being our waiter, but unfortunately it was a little too late. I offered to pay for the drinks, which I enjoyed and were sadly the best part of the "meal" but she did not want to accept my money, so props to her for her service.
We wont be going back anytime soon!
