I went to mcdonalds alexandra yesterday and to my suprise was welcomed with a bad attitude and service, the lady who was servicing us was Koketjo (name on the name tag), she made us feel as if she was doing us a favour for servicing us, she was so slow, took wrong orders, the was an an elderly lady in front of me who ordered a coke and she was a given a coke with no ice and when she complained the lady just looked at her as if she just want to cause a seen for nothing, i had to place my order three times and even after that when i asked the lady next to me she replied "thats how they are", most of their customers are poor black people as the majority of alexandra population are poor people, even poor people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, the fact that they might not know who to complain too, does not give anyone the right to treat them like trash. when i left the store i only thought of how the poor are treated especiaaly during the Mandela month. The attitude was so bad that i felt insulted for buying myself lunch. i stay in the pretoria eastern sububs and the service is amazing the people make you feel important but maybe its bacause the majority are white.
