Cape Town Fish Market
Accused us of scamming!

We had received a 50% off voucher for this branch. We decided to use the voucher yesterday for lunch. When we got there we presented the voucher to the waiter and asked him to check with management if it was valid and fine to use. He came back to say it was and showed us what we could order off the menu. After lunch the water took the voucher. We then had a manager come to say that the restaurant was under new ownership and the voucher wasn't valid. When we explained that we had done the necessary steps he went away and we had the general manager approach us (I think his name was Lourens) He started the conversation saying that he recognised us coming in with this invalid voucher before and implying that we had already tried to him and he recognised us! We hadn't been to the branch for years! We explained what had happened and he didn't back down from his accusations. We agreed on a compromise of 25% discount off our bill but we were outraged to be accused of scamming when we were completely innocent. I am so disgusted at his lack of respect and jumping to conclusions. I will never go back to CTFM!
