On the 18th of Jan 2013 I bought a Big Mac burger at the McDonald branch at Jabulani Mall Soweto. As I was eating my burger I realized there was a worm inside. I took it back to restaurant and spoke to the shift manager Monde Ngcobo who apologised and stated that the worm may be from the lettuce.
I am utterly disappointed in this minor negligence which could lead to a health hazardous for someone else. I could appreciate if McDonald SA takes charge in ensuring that chefs take the necessary steps in preparing clean and germ free food for individuals to enjoy and to ensure they rinse their lettuce which is supposed to be norm when preparing food.
