Its Wacky WIne Weekend in Robertson and three of my friends and I made the trip to enjoy this annual event. As we all work, we arrived late Thurs evening in Robertson so decided to go straight into town for dinner. The first place we stopped at was a little restaurant called Passio. As out-of-towners we were unfamiliar with the restaurants and decided to go in. The hostess (or manager) met as at the door and stated that no tables were currently available but a table would open up soon. We didn't mind having to wait, however, she insisted that we wait outside on the couches. It was as though she just wanted us out of the restaurant by stating more than once, "Just go outside". Outside would not have been so bad except that it was freezing in Robertson and there was not a single heater in sight! We were practically forced outside in the cold, waiting indefinitely! Is this Robertson hospitality? I have dined in some of the cheapest and also finest restaurants around the world and never have I been met with such inhospitality! We left to another restaurant with great food and excellent service. Who knows if the food at Passio was even good? There service left a bad taste in our mouths!
