I commend Reno Spurs for building a relationship with surrounding primary schools by offering a voucher for kids in recognition of school achievements. Long may this continue!!! These vouchers are valid for a month.
My son's (age 9) voucher was issued with a voucher dated 28 March 2013 and due to some logistical reasons on my part I could not take him prior to 28 March 2013. Today the 3 May 2013 I was able to take him and my other sons (Obviously I had to fork the bill for the other two as well) to celebrate his recognition. Only to be told in full view of my excited sons (eldest age 13) that the voucher is not valid. We were only 4 days late. Forking the entire bill would not have been a problem but expressing it in full view of my children was just too much to bear. We chose another restaurant despite the excitement and pride was not in the air. We need these morale boosters and for business to come on board is great. A concession would have been welcome given it was only 4 days but more diplomacy even better.
To my son the recognision would have been eating out at Spur!!!
