A Few weeks back, my partner and myself attended a friends birthday party at the Cappello in Norwood. The party was in the upstairs area of the restaurant. We were about 30-40 people there, yet the bar was not operational upstairs, and thus the waiters (2 or 3 at most, serving the entire party) had to go downstairs to collect drinks. As we arrived and ordered our drinks from the waiter (failed to obtain his name, but seemed to be the only white guy on duty that night) He very rudely DEMANDED a tip upon presenting the bill for the drinks ordered, even before he went down to fetch them!!! AND after tipping 10% he then went ahead and confronted us as to why we "tipped so little". On further inspection we then discovered that he also charged and brought us double drinks, when in fact we only ordered single drinks! I spoke to the owner who seemed very uninterested in our complaints! Then this morning after a conversation with a friend whom lives in Norwood, I discovered this is a common practice at this establishment! He said he, nor will we ever return to this or any other Cappello!
