One Time PIN a One Time Failure

On 16 March we tried to buy airline tickets to the USA with Qatar Air online using our FNB credit cards. But whenever we reached the point where FNB OTP was requested to book our tickets, no OTP was received via my email. Until then doing any of our online purchases and receiving OTP's to my email never was a problem. After 4 failed attempts we contacted the credit card call centre who told us it was an online banking problem. After a few more tries on Sunday AM we called online banking to be told that it was a maintenance issue & that we should call again Sunday PM. The call centre closed at 13h00 and calling at 14h00 proved useless. On Monday we tried again, & we were told we needed to be online & on the phone to the call centre to try to sort it out. Still no tickets. Finally on March 18th, in contact with Online banking & via the internet, they changed sending the OTP via an sms & not to my email address and it worked. But we lost our booking & our dates for our departure & had to pay an extra R4 524.00 for our tickets. FNB then blames our Service Provider for this error & will not refund the extra costs due to the failure of their online banking to help when needed.
