My VF ACC was escalated to the Collections dept due to inconsistent payments, I then made an agreement with their collections dept and stuck to the arrangement, Gideon Redelinghuys was my contact, on 1/04 I called the call centre & requested for a detailed statement, my balance was R14155.73. my Acc # is: 72450472, that's the account number I have been paying to.
on 11/04 I called Gideon & requested for a settlement letter, I recieved it on 12/04 it stated that my settlement amount was R 26826.45, I called Gideon to query, he didnt have answers immediately & said he would get back to me, I then called the call centre, and queried the amount, &I was advised the 72450472 no longer exists in their systems, since I have "opened" a new account, account number 00083783074, &that is where the settlement amount came from. I know nothing about the new account, Gideon kept in touch&said he would resolve, he called me&said the settlement will be much less, later-on the dealership was sent directly a settlement letter with an amount of R4653.98 .NOW ABSA wont release the NaTis docs, even though the account account is settled by the dealer. I am now being told I still owe, Why???
