I claimed my iPhone 5 from MiWay last week. Now I received answer that they will not be paying.
The definition of insurance, "The transaction involves the insured a guaranteed and known relatively small loss in the form of payment to the insurer in exchange for the insurer's promise to compensate (indemnify) the insured in the case of a financial (personal) loss."
MiWay is Assuming that because my iphone did not have a sim card in it when it at the time it was, that it was never from me. Do you have an iPhone? or other Apple devices? I have 2 iPads, 2 iPhones and a Mac Book Pro. Do you know that they work without sim cards? Many people I know uses it like I do.
You either have a sim card in ONE apple device and set it up with Personel Hotspot to the rest OR have a mobile 3G router that connects all your devices. You can then call, message, browse and do everything on all your devices for a fraction of the price.
BUT NOW YOU DONT WANT TO PAY MY CLAIM?
On account of ASSUMPTION??
I am NOT a regular claimer!
I will be closing my policy with you if this is the case!
