Saturday 20th April, me and my husband visited the Canal Walk branch in order for me to change / upgrade my account
the reception lady was friendly. Then comes meeting the: consultant", well what a disaster. Bad attitude from the start!
i needed to change the 'Swipe" limit on my card... and they simply cannot do it?? cause my 'account' does not allow for it!! then i wanted to change to an account which does allow it... and guess what... no we cannot do it!!!
third try... we ask if i can link my account to my husbands and still keep it independent of each other... finally a yes... i asked if they can transfer my Debit order from the savings account to the new account and they said no.
i walked straight into another bank and was greeted by polite staff, who clearly all knew what they were doing. and they solved my dillema. so now, i will be taking my account elsewhere. only question i have to standard bank is: have you guys become so arrogant that you "Think" you the best bank around that customer service has completely gone out the door? why is there no choice for people like us who earn less?
standard bank, tell me why i should keep my account with you?
