I've been a client with Standard Bank for almost 15 years, and I must admit I'm quite irritated with this process.
I've applied for an increase on my revolving credit and a consultant phoned me on 17 April. The loan was increased by R6000. I said that I don't want to take up the offer at that time and she said she'll decline it, gave me her direct number and asked I should call should I wish to take the offer up.
Now, 4 days later, I phoned back, wanting to take up the offer and the system declines me and the reason they've given me is due to alot of applications being done in a short space of time. Now why wasn't this propely explained? And why would she request that I phone her back if the system was going to decline then?
It really annoys me as I've been a customer for so long but then I just get the excuse that nothing can be done. So wow, I was promised benefits and services for Prestige customers when my package was upgraded but now I don't see any of those promised services happening.
So how long do I have to wait now before applying again???
