I submitted a claim (Claim Number NED 1112719) to NedInsurance in July 2011. The assessor, Andre Cilliers gave me a finding report which i'm not happy with and i re-questioned the findings again in Oct 2012. This is in connection with damage to my house and garage roofs. I bought the house in April 2000. The previous owner told me that the house and garage was fitted with a new roof (due to storm damage) by the previous owner's insurance company (not known to me). The current assessor, Andre Cilliers from Comprehensive Lost Adjusters came to inspect the roof and quoted that the roof is a defective design and bad workmanship. The last row of harvey Tiles was fitted incorrectly (nails in the wrong position) and in time this caused the ends of the trusses to be contaminated by water via the "nails in wrong position" and all trusses ends are now rotten. Due to this all the eaves are also falling apart. NedInsurance refuses to repair the roof. Why was there no defective findings when the inspection was done when i bought the house? The assessor stated in the report that it appears to him that i don't experience any financial difficulties! Why am i paying premiums for the past 13 years?
