First National Bank
Pricing Query on Tablet

On Tuesday morning 2013/04/16, I decided to take up the tablet/smartphone offer from FNB. After browsing these units for a while I came across a Samsung ATIV 64GB 11.6 inch for R99 a month. After a call to FNB, I finally spoke to a sales agent. He went all the 'legal' stuff and told me that I did in fact qualify for a device. After confirming the device, he reminded me that device would set me back R499 a month. After a brief exchange of pricing queries, and he checked on the system, he came back and said that he sees the price is in fact R449, and that I should send him a screenshot. FNB was now going to look into this.
Last Night at I received a call from FNB, saying the price on the site was incorrect (It's now R449) and there is simply no way that they could honour the previously advertised price.
Now, my argument is simply this, nowhere does it state that prices may change without notice, or any statement to cover themselves for this exact situation. Also one would think that an entity as big as FNB would 'man up' to their mistakes, but it would seem not. This does make one wonder, after 14 years with the same bank, if it is not maybe time for a change. Very Disappointed
