I went onto my Absa online banking and wanted to apply for the Absa rewards program. I got a message saying that I could not apply as my "FICA" - FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE ACT documents, water and lights account and id's to be taken into the branch, was not up to date. I received an sms at the end of 2012 on my cell phone number stating that my accounts would be frozen or something to that effect if my wife and I did not go into the bank with all our documents. We went into the Randfontein branch with our ID's, water & lights account and marriage certificate. The branch made copies of everything and we signed everything and we were told that everything was ok!! I had problems again during January this year with my Absa accounts and again had to go into Randfontein branch. I was personally told by the branch manager that everything was sorted out - and again it wasn't - I then spoke to Absa online call centre and explained everything to them and my accounts were sorted out the next day. Now I have got problems again so I phoned the online call centre and was told that I had done my FICA in 2004. I did it at the end of 2012. HOW MANY TIMES MUST I GO INTO AN ABSA BRANCH??
