Switched to a check account and then 3000

I bought a house last year and after applying to various banks I was happy with Standard Bank. Their service was great :-). After having my bond almost 1 year i wanted to now swtich all my banking with Standard. But wen i heard what they did to a dear fiend of mine i am extrememly worried about my banking security with Standard Bank. I convince a friend of mine to switch to a check account with Standard Bank because it would make buying a house easier with them. My friend then did so... All was done and a few days later when her salary went into her account, R3000 was with drawn from her account in Johannesburg somewhere. The funny thing is that we live in Cape Town. My friend (A single mother of 3) went into the bank to notify them of this. She was met with a mam thats not our problem as the money was withdrawn from an ATM with a Pin. No explain to me how that was possible after she just switched over to a check account. The bank accepted no responsibility and refused to help her. This a mother of 3. I am so utterly distgusted in their service and now because of that i am switching my bond and cancelling all accounts with them... Their Staff () are ripping their clients off
