Essential Med
Essentially passing the buck

30/11/2012, I sent in a claim for my first trimester pregnancy scan. On 2/01/2013, I phoned in to inquire about the claim and why it had not been paid to me. I was told by Alvin Delaney that the incorrect code was used on the form and to re-submit the claim with the correct codes in order to be reimbursed. I e-mailed the new claim to him and received an email to state that the claim was being processed. Mid-way through the month, I emailed Alvin and was further assured that the claim was being processed. On 5/02/2013, I phoned in to inquire about why I had not been paid for the claim, only to be told by Andiswa Pama, that Alvin no longer worked there and that I must now send the claim to her. I received a second email confirming that she was processing the claim. On 11/03/2013, I phoned client services to inquire about the claim, only to be told that now Joane Badenhorst was the head of that department and that I should re-send the claim to her. I was very much assured that she was now in charge of this claim and that the claim would finally be processed. 15/04/2013 still waiting on my '30 day process' claim to be paid, I will send in a complaint every 5 days until you pay me.
