If only YOUR loyalty was as sharp as your adverts

We recently renovated our home, my husband banks with ABSA and they advised us to first renovate then they would repay the money we spent. they have not done this. I have been with FNB for 10 yeas, I am a platinum account holder and run my account well. I have taken out 2 personal loans and maxed my credit card to finish our home. FNB will not give me a bond because of affordability. I have explained to them that they can settle my loans and credit card into the bond account (as they do with a ONE ACCOUNT offer) and when they do this I will actually have enough in my salary alone to buy another house! they have refused and declined the application. FNB can spend millions on advertising to try and get people to join them (I am horrified that I have always bragged about how great FNB is) but they will not look after the customers they currently have?? Is that really the message you want everyone to hear? if my debt is with you and a new application is with you, you have the power to ensure the affordability! Truly disappointed at your arrogance and I was about to move my second property to FNB, it will stay with STD bank as I see other consumers have done same.
