I am the owner of an Autoglass Company. My company is a level 3 BEE Contributor. In October last year a Business Outsurance Direct Sales Executive approached my company with a promise that I will get support from Outsurance if I switched my business insurance from Standard Bank to Outsurance. I told this business executive that I have always wanted to be a Service Provider for Outsurance because my business needs support in order to grow. This dude took my company profile and promised to have my company registered. Naturally I was thrilled and switched to Outsurance. It's now more than five months and my company has not been registered as a Service Provider. When I enquired, I was told that this dude has left Outsurance. Why are South African companies treating Black Small Companies with disdain? Why are talks of SME Support promoted in words and no actions? How are Small Black Companies expected to create jobs when support is only given to Big companies? My company is insured with Outsurance, also in my personal capacity. Why should I continue to support this company and yet they dont want to support my company? I need answers
