I made a claim late last year after we suffered hail damage to our house? We sent in two assessor reports for our solar geyser to the amount of approximately R8, 000 each. My husband offered to do the repairs himself for a fee of R700 which was a lot less than the quotes we had.
He assessor, Mr Cronk, that inspected our damage was unhelpful and said that he couldn't climb onto our roof as he had a painful knee. We have to date received the amount of R1, 900 to replace the tubes and satellite dish (excess was deducted). We have still not had out 3 window panes replaced. The assessor promised to send PG Glass to do the job. I gave notice on this policy on 27/02/2013 as I am totally dissatisfied with the lack of service and they had the nerve to deduct a payment off on 28/03/2013.i have been a customer at FNB for years and expected better service from their insurance than this. It is bad business practice and very disappointing.
