Hail damage on my car, then i get told R 3000.00 excess plus another R 4000 excess for recent claim. Colleagues who were subjected to the same damage had no excess as this was an act of nature outside the clients control. Absa Idirect refuse to acknowledge this. I am then told to go to their assessor for assessment, their assessor then quotes to remove numerous severe hail damaged dents without any paint repair work, so i am now being told by Absa Idirect's call center person that they are closing the claim without repairing the car because i want to take my car to another assessor for a fair assessment. They prefer to charge me R 7000.00 excess for a job which their own assessor is going to only cost /- R 14 000.00. I am also told that no other insurance company offers no excess charge for hail damage, really? I questioned the call center agent twice and they guarantee me this?
To add to this i have my turbo blow recently in Pretoria and i call for assistance and get told they will take it to the closest repair center, i inform them i do not live in Pretoria, their response is we can take it to your area at an extra cost to you?
