Computershare
Ten weeks with no update

Late in December 2012 I was informed that I had inherited a number of Tongaat Hulett Limited shares, as the company I worked for had just been closed this was very fortunate. After some discussion on the 24 January 2013 I requested that the attorneys handling the estate sell my portion of the shares and pay me out. They informed me that they would contact Computershare regarding the reissue of share certificates, dematerialization and sale of the shares. I was told this could take a bit of time. After 6 weeks with no updates I contacted the attorneys asking what the status was. They informed me that Computershare had all the documentation and it was being processed and they would update me as soon as they knew anything. It has now been ten weeks since I requested that the shares be sold and I have not heard anything. Contacting the attorneys again would be fruitless as it seems the ball is in Computershare's court. Surely a process such as this should not take this long in this day and age of electronic communication? How long is this process supposed to take? While some of my debtors understand the situation most are not so understanding.
