On the 10th of December 2012 I phoned into Outsurance to check my insurance details (as I always do before taking a holiday). I was shocked to hear that my car insurance was cancelled as this was the first I have heard of it. I have to admit that I didn't even suspect it as I have Business Insurance with them aswell. Needless to say I asked the consultant what the best option for me would be as I couldn't go on holiday and not have insurance. He advised that I would have to get a new policy which I do. Shock nr 2 came when I realized that my premiums were very much higher than the previous one, but proceeded to take it as I just couldn't go without it. Documents were send to me via email and I was told that a mandatory inspection was to be done on my car. 24hrs later I had an accident. I contacted them via the same email address (as the sales person told me to contact him anytime with queries), as to find out what to do next. I have not heard anything from them since, yet my premiums are deducted on a monthly basis. I find it unfair and not in accordance with the consumer protection act that my policy was cancelled firstly and monies deducted after I asked for advice.
